Meet The team

Basil Natoli

Principal / Geologist

 

Basil is the principal consultant and has been working in the Extractive Industries since 1970.

Basil is a geologist and his experience includes 11 years with a major quarrying company where he was involved in all aspects of resource evaluation, planning and quality control and over 30 years consulting to a wide range of companies, individuals, local government authorities and financial institutions.

Ian Widdowson

Cartographer

 

Ian has worked in the resource development industries since 1975. He is responsible for the preparation of the plans and aerial photo graphics and overlays used in development and planning submissions.

 

Ian has been working with Bell, Cochrane since 1985.  The high quality and standard of these documents help ensure the development objectives are clearly communicated to both the approval authorities and the site operators.

Cameron Black

Mining Engineer

 

Cameron is a Mining Engineer with an MBA and is (was anyways) a certificated quarry manager. He previously worked with a major quarrying company for 11 years in operational and technical support areas. Cameron has been working with BCA since 1995.

 

Cameron is responsible for quarry and pit design and preparation of operational plans work plan applications, also in dealings with the Compliance and Rehabilitation Teams in the Earth Resources Regulator and wherever possible assisting in field investigation programs.

Michael Stevenson

Geologist / Environmental Scientist

 

Michael is a geologist with a second degree in environmental science and experience across a range of industry and regulatory roles. He has worked with BCA Consulting since January 2022 and prior to this worked for the Earth Resources Regulator (Victorian Government) in assessing quarrying and mining applications. Michael has also worked for Mineral Resources Tasmania (Tasmanian Government) and worked as a mineral exploration geologist and farm planning consultant.

 

Michael is responsible for developing and preparing quarry work plan applications, engaging with the Earth Resources Regulator, advising clients on regulatory considerations for extractive industry proposals and field investigations, as required.

Liesl Cristanelli

Geologist      

 

Liesl joined BCA in 2010. Liesl works on all aspects of geological resource investigation and interpretation of construction material in the field, lab and in the office. She is also involved in drafting work plans and resource estimations.

 

Has recently completed her JORC code certification and is an AUSIMM member. Is also fluent in Italian.

Tony Ferrazza

Mining Engineer

 

Tony has 42 years’ experience in the mining and quarry industry. He is a seasoned Mining Engineer with a decade-long tenure as the Operations Manager of a large hard rock limestone quarry. He has also worked in operational, planning, management and certified industry training roles and as a safety regulator.  Tony joined the BCA team in 2023 and assist in our dealings with ERR Compliance and Assessments team

Hugh McCutcheon

Andrew 

Geologist

 

Andrew is a geologist with over 27 years experience in assessment, development and production of construction materials and industrial minerals.  Andrew has been with BCA Consulting since 2004 and is responsible for quarry and pit design and preparation of operational plans work plan submissions and as well as assisting in field investigation programs.

 

Andrew is proficient in the use of the 3D Geological and mining package Minesight, Mapinfo, GPS and Surveying.  Andrew is a Member of the AusIMM and the Institute of Quarrying Australia.
