Basil is the principal consultant and has been working in the Extractive Industries since 1970.
He is a geologist and his experience includes 11 years with a major quarrying company where he was involved in all aspects of resource evaluation, planning and quality control and over 30 years consulting to a wide range of companies, individuals, local government authorities and financial institutions.
Ian is a cartographer and has worked in the resource development industries since 1975. He is responsible for the preparation of the plans and aerial photo graphics and overlays used in development and planning submissions.
Ian has been working with Bell, Cochrane since 1986. The high quality and standard of these documents helps ensure the development objectives are clearly communicated to both the approval authorities and the site operators.
Cameron is a Mining Engineer with an MBA and is (was anyways) a certificated quarry manager. He previously worked with a major quarrying company for 11 years in operational and technical support areas. Cameron has been working with Bell, Cochrane since 1995.
Cameron is responsible for quarry and pit design and preparation of operational plans work plan submissions and as well as assisting in field investigation programs.
Andrew is a geologist with over 27 years experience in assessment, development and production of construction materials and industrial minerals. Andrew has been with BCA Consulting since 2004 and is responsible for quarry and pit design and preparation of operational plans work plan submissions and as well as assisting in field investigation programs.
Andrew is proficient in the use of the 3D Geological and mining package Minesight, Mapinfo, GPS and Surveying. Andrew is a Member of the AusIMM and the Institute of Quarrying Australia.
Colin is a Mining Engineer with over 37 years’ experience in the Earth Resources industry in both Australia and overseas, including 15 years with the Victorian Government’s mining and quarrying regulator. A member of the AustIMM, Colin also holds a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
Colin joined BCA Consulting in 2016 and can provide assistance with approvals and licensing, including work plan development and submission, as well as the development and auditing of safety and operational management systems
Liesl is a geologist with over 10 years experience in construction materials resource investigations and materials assessment.
Liesl works on all aspects of the geological investigation and interpretation of sites, both in the field and in the office. She also arranges site meetings and preparing Work Plans, as well as being involved in drafting the work plans.
Hugh is a graduate geologist
Whilst finishing a geology course at Monash University Hugh is working full time with BCA consulting. Hugh has worked previously during vacation breaks over the last there years with BCA and has been involved in collecting and processing drill samples, field work, conductivity, drill supervision and GIS.
In addition to our in house people, we also have close working relationships with many other consultants and town planners. Through the course of our work plan submissions we are frequently dealing with the issues around blasting, dust, noise, traffic, ground water, surface water, geotechnical and heritage (both European and Koori), visuals, flora & fauna, planning, and , unfortunately, VCAT
